I'm using a sub-account, and when I go to 'all apps' in the PS store, I can't find the mediaplayer app. But when I insert a usb device with some music in it (creating a folder named 'Music' at the root of the storage device and putting the files in that folder) the ps4 detects it and the mediaplayer icon pops right up between the icons of 'what's new?' and one of my games. I highlight it and press Download but it gives me the message-"This content cannot be downloaded at this time. Why does it keep happening? Am I the only one with this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help. Top Voted Answer. Sony disabled their own Media Player a while ago with an update. Hard to believe they could be so lame, cant seem to download media player on ps4, but they want you paying to stream music, not playing your own for free.
